Recent heavy rainstorms have caused sinkholes to develop on the shoulder along northbound Vasco Road between Garaventa Ranch Road and Dalton Avenue. The largest sinkhole is approximately 15 feet by 13 feet and 6 feet deep and extends 2 feet under the paved road shoulder.

Weather permitting, repair work will commence on March 23, 2023, and is anticipated to be completed within five days. The emergency repair work will require closing the northbound travel lane in the area of work for several days.  The left turn lane from Vasco Road to Dalton Avenue will be converted to a through lane and traffic will be diverted to use this lane.
