The City has analyzed decorative walls in the City's right-of-way to rate the condition of these walls and repair and/or replace them as needed. These walls were constructed as part of housing developments in the 1960's and are non-load bearing decorative walls. Replacement of these aging decorative walls throughout the City will improve safety, retain aesthetics, and reduce the cost of ongoing maintenance and repair. The City is focusing on walls with the highest risk of failure. Currently, the City is working on replacing walls on the west side of Holmes Street between Catalina and El Caminito.
