Currently the Fleet Services Section does not have adequate space to safely service the increasing number of large fleet vehicles, specifically the Fire Department's new tractor drawn aerial apparatus. The project will include: 

• Expanding the footprint of the fleet services building located at the Maintenance Center,
• Expanding four work bays and part of the main structure on the north side of the building to provide staff adequate space to complete their duties while working on large fleet vehicles and receiving parts safely, secure, and efficient manner, and
• Enhancing the security of the building as the bay doors currently do not close completely when large vehicles are parked in the shop for repair.

In addition, this renovation will provide more organized inventory allowing for better monitoring and tracking.
