While the Livermore Area Recreation and Park District (LARPD) is the agency responsible for maintaining the park system in Livermore, there are a number of City owned properties as well as streetscapes that are constructed and maintained by the City of Livermore. Parks and Beautification projects are intended to improve, renovate, and enhance these existing City owned or maintained park areas, public spaces, roadways, walls, and medians.

The Beautification Committee, Planning Commission, City Council, LARPD, neighborhood groups, and City staff suggest projects and the primary funding source are Park in Lieu fees, the General Fund, Measure B, and grant programs.
