Administrative Services Department
The Administrative Services Department consists of the City Clerk's Office, Finance, Human Resources, and Information Technology Divisions and provides essential services and support to internal and external customers of the City of Livermore.

City Manager's Office
The City Manager acts as the chief executive officer of the City and is responsible for the operational activities of City departments; works with the City Council in the development of ordinances, resolutions, and policies to successfully execute the City Council's legislative actions; and provides public information to the community through a variety of sources including City social media, website, community newsletter, and press releases.

Community Development Department
The Community Development Department provides services that relate to land use, building construction, infrastructure development, affordable housing, and human services. The Department is responsible for implementing City Council policies related to planning and managing the City's growth, matching development with service demands, and ensuring that new development is attractive, durable, and designed and constructed in a way which protects public health and safety. In addition, the Department implements a number of programs that provide housing, counseling, shelter, referral, and other specialized services to citizens.

Library Services Department
The Livermore Public Library encourages the development of a lifelong interest in reading and learning by youth and adults, provides materials and services of popular interest, supports the educational needs of the community, furnishes timely, accurate information, and builds cultural awareness and enrichment.

Office of Innovation & Economic Development Department
The Office of Innovation & Economic Development Department is the City's primary point of contact with the business community, assisting companies that wish to start, grow, or relocate in Livermore. The Office develops and implements programs to achieve City Council goals related to fostering a vibrant, innovation-driven business community.

Police Department
The Police Department provides a variety of services that relate to the protection of life and property, such as criminal investigations, crime analysis, patrol, traffic safety, animal control, crime prevention, dispatch, Horizons Family Counseling, and records management.

Public Works Department
The Public Works Department is comprised of four divisions: Airport, Environmental Services, Maintenance, and Water Resources.

Volunteer Opportunities
Graffiti Fighter
Graffiti fighter volunteers find and remove graffiti from public areas of Livermore. The Public Works Department provides volunteers with kits to help get the job done.

Tri-Valley Adopt a Creek Spot
The Adopt a Creek Spot program is a multi-agency partnership between the Cities of Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin, Livermore Area Recreation and Park District, and Zone 7 Water Agency. Volunteers lead creek clean-ups at their adopted stream sections.
Minimum Age Requirement: None. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Time Commitment: Volunteers must lead at least one creek clean-up per year.

Living Arroyos
Living Arroyos is a multi-agency partnership between the Cities of Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin, Livermore Area Recreation and Park District, and Zone 7 Water Agency. The program leads volunteer Saturdays in spring and fall where volunteers have the opportunity to plant native species in local arroyos.
Minimum Age Requirement: None. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Time Commitment: One time volunteer opportunities, 3 hour work days
