Roadways

Interstate 580 is the primary freeway of Livermore. Heading west, it connects to the rest of San Francisco Bay Area, and east heads towards the Central Valley. Interstate 680 and Route 84 are also accessible and provides a shorter route for those who are commuting to San Jose.

Rail

Ace Rail logoAce Rail, Altamont Commuter Express Train, has a station located near Downtown Livermore, which is conveniently situated by the Livermore Transit Center where connections to the Wheels bus system are possible. It also has a station at Vasco Road near the Lawrence Livermore Lab. Furthermore, BART is in the midst of expanding to Livermore, providing easy access to the Bay Area.


Bus

Wheels logoWheels, Livermore Transit Center, is located near Downtown Livermore. Aside from its local routes, Wheels also offers access to Altamont Commuter Express Train, Ace Train, Amtrak Motor Coach buses, and Greyhound buses. It also provides a route to its neighboring cities, Dublin and Pleasanton, and to the BART station.


Air

The City of Livermore is home to the Livermore Municipal Airport, which is considered the Gateway to the Tri-Valley. The Airport provides large corporate businesses with their private aircrafts easy and convenient access to the area.

Apart from the Livermore Municipal Airport, Livermore is within close distance to the San Francisco International Airport, the Mineta San Jose International Airport, as well as Oakland International Airport.
