CityServe of the Tri-Valley provides various programs and resources for Seniors including fitness and well classes and visits, medical transportation, programs for home modifications, resources for mental health.

Free Legal Assistance for Seniors

Free legal consultations for tenants 60 years and older who are experiencing housing issues and/or have received a notice from their landlord, such as a 3-day notice. (Flyer)

Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley

Serving seniors over the age of 60 in Pleasanton, Dublin, Livermore and Sunol. They can provide information and referral to local facilities.

Resources for Persons with Disabilities

Bay Area Community Services

Through its Valley Wellness Center, BACS provides supportive services to persons with
mental health-related disabilities. BACS owns and operates housing units throughout Alameda County including shared housing in Livermore and a six-unit apartment complex in downtown Pleasanton. Rental opportunities are administered directly by BACS.

Housing Consortium of the East Bay (HCEB)

HCEB is a non-profit housing developer that owns and operates affordable shared housing
for persons with developmental disabilities and mental health-related disabilities. HCEB currently owns and operates shared housing units throughout Alameda County, including Livermore.

Tri-Valley REACH

Tri-Valley REACH provides housing in Pleasanton and Livermore for extremely low-income adults with developmental disabilities who are able to live independently with supportive services.

CRIL (Community Resources for Independent Living)

CRIL is a non-profit organization that will help you find your own accessible and affordable and subsidized housing. CRIL's Housing Coordinator will teach you how to look for appropriate housing, identify resources that can support independent living, negotiate with your landlord, understand tenant rights and responsibilities, learn how to improve your credit report and how to identify possible resources for a security deposit. CRIL keeps a current list of local rentals. CRIL does not own housing or run its own residential facility.

Fremont Oak Gardens (for deaf Seniors)

This 51-unit complex provides rental housing for low-income deaf senior citizens and is a regional housing resource. Leasing inquiries should be directed to the on-site management office.

Homeless Prevention

The homeless Rapid Rehousing Program offered through ABODE Services is designed to assist individuals and families to quickly exit homelessness and return to permanent housing. For more information, please view the ABODE flyer.

Homeowners

California Mortgage Relief Program 

CA_Mortgage_Relief Pic 2The California Mortgage Relief Program helps homeowners get caught up on their housing payments. The program is absolutely free and the funds do not need to be repaid.

The program is open to all Californians whose income is at or below 100% of their Area Median Income, own a single-family home, condo or permanently affixed manufactured home and have faced a pandemic-related financial hardship after January 21, 2020, and also meet at least one of the following qualifications:

  • Receiving public assistance
  • Severely housing burdened
  • or Have no alternative mortgage workout options through your mortgage servicer

RENEW ALAMEDA COUNTY (Renew AC)

Are you a low-income homeowner in need of home repairs or renovations? Renew Alameda County is a home improvement program that helps low-income homeowners make renovations necessary to stay, grow, and thrive in their homes.  Renew AC provides 1% simple interest loans from $15,000 to $150,000 to qualified homeowners.

Permanent Affordable Housing

Tri-Valley Affordable Rental Housing Guide provides listings of complexes in the Tri-Valley area that have affordable units within the complexes. You will need to contact the complex(es) you are interested in to see if they have any affordable units available or you may ask to be put on a wait list, if one exists.

View a list of Affordable Housing Developers who own and/or manage affordable housing in the East Bay, and information regarding open application periods.

Eden Housing Management, Inc. maintains a Housing Information Line at (510) 247-8141 on Mondays through Fridays from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM, which provides information about applying for a unit at any affordable housing complex currently managed by Eden Housing, or future complexes which Eden will be managing. These complexes are located throughout the Bay Area.

 

Renters Resources

CentroLegal De La Raza provides legal help to low-income qualified renters in handling the tenant-landlord issues. 

Housing Secure provides legal assistance to tenants and landlords in handling various situations.
