Election Results

Election results may be viewed on the Alameda County Registrar of Voters website. The initial release of results will be on Tuesday, November 8, 2022 at 8:00 p.m. Please monitor the Alameda County webpage for updated results. 

Election Contests

The following City offices are up for election as part of the November 8, 2022 General Election:

• City Council Member - District 1 (4-year term ending Nov. 2026)
• City Council Member - District 2 (4-year term ending Nov. 2026)
  • The public examination period for candidate statements in Districts 1 and 2 is until August 22, 2022 during regular business hours (see California Election Code 13313). Copies are available for review in the City Clerk's Office, 1052 S Livermore, Livermore, CA 94550.
• Mayor - At-large (2-year term ending Nov. 2024)
  • The mayoral nomination period is extended until August 17, 2022 (see California Election Code 10225)
  • The public examination period for mayoral candidate statements is from August 18, 2022 until August 27, 2022 during regular business hours (see California Election Code 13313). Copies are available for review in the City Clerk's Office, 1052 S Livermore, Livermore, CA 94550.

Voting Options 

Livermore voters can submit their ballot in multiple ways for the November 8, 2022 General Municipal Elections. 

Ballots being returned by mail must be postmarked by Election Day and received by the Alameda County Registrar of Voters' Office by November 15, 2022. No postage is necessary. 

A 24-hour ballot box is available beginning October 11, 2022 located outside Livermore City Hall at 1052 S Livermore Avenue, and will remain open to accept ballots until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day. Additional locations are listed in the "Livermore 24-Hour Drop Box Locations" section on this webpage.

Livermore will also have Voting Centers. A list of centers was made available on September 29, 2022. The list is published on Alameda County's Official Election Website. 

Information for voters with disabilities is available to voters registered as Vote by Mail voters and accessible through the Remote Accessible Vote by Mail (RAVBM) System. For further information, voters can contact (510) 272-6933 or TTY (510) 208-4967.

Vote-By-Mail

All registered voters in Alameda County will receive a vote-by-mail ballot. All official ballots are mailed First Class via the United States Postal Service starting October 10, 2022. Official ballots are also mailed to Military and overseas voters starting 45 days prior to Election Day.

Vote Center Locations

A list of Livermore vote centers can be found in the table below. A complete list of locations throughout Alameda County can be found on their Official Election Website.

**11-Day Vote Center Hours:

• October 29 - November 7, 2022 | 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• November 8, 2022 (Election Day) | 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

*4-Day Vote Center Hours:

• November 5 - 7, 2022 | 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
• November 8, 2022 (Election Day) | 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.

Drop off ballot boxes at Vote Centers are only available during scheduled dates and times

Livermore 24-Hour Drop Box Locations

Make your vote count—remember to sign the back of your return envelope! 24-hour drop box locations are open from October 11, 2022 until 8:00 p.m. on Election Day.

Ballot Drop Stop

The Alameda County Registrar of Voters' Office is planning several "Ballot-Drop Stop Tours" with pop-up locations throughout the County to receive completed ballots. Check out the dates, locations, and times. 

Election Security

• The Secretary of State’s “Where’s My Ballot?” tracking tool is now available in every county. Voters can sign up to receive automatic notifications by text message, email, or voice call on the status of their vote-by-mail ballot at WheresMyBallot.sos.ca.gov.
• All completed vote-by-mail ballots sent back to county elections offices are First Class Mail, postage paid, and have an estimated delivery window of 2-5 days. County elections officials use the postal service’s Official Election Mail Logo that allows postal workers and carriers to recognize it as essential election mail.
• County elections officials work closely with the USPS to review and approve the design of vote-by-mail envelopes and other election mail pieces to ensure machine compatibility and the seamless delivery and return of ballots.
• USPS partners communicate with each mail plant throughout the state about the vote- by-mail period and provide examples of what local vote-by-mail ballot envelopes look like to ensure that they are given priority and processed timely.
• USPS also conduct daily sweeps of processing areas and require staff to certify no unprocessed ballot mail remains.

Election Voter Complaint Form

If you believe that you are a victim of election fraud or have witnessed a criminal violation of the California Elections Code, you may use the Election Voter Complaint Form to report the violation to the Secretary of State.
