Post Date:07/24/2024 9:58 AM
On July 23, at 12:45 p.m., a Livermore Police officer, along with K9 Drake, was patrolling the area of Airway Boulevard and North Canyons Parkway when they came across a vehicle with Washington plates. The driver had opened the hood and was checking the vehicle. It appeared he was having engine trouble. Livermore Police asked the occupants if they needed help. They said they were traveling to San Jose from Washington. The occupants then walked away and into a store.

K9 Drake alerted his handler of narcotics in the vehicle. Officers located paraphernalia, methamphetamine, and four ounces of fentanyl.

Police arrested 38-year-old Ramon Guzman of Washington and 31-year-old Taylor Bickler of Washington. They admitted to purchasing the fentanyl earlier in the morning in the Central Valley with the intent to sell in Washington.

Police arrested them on several drug charges, including transporting/selling a narcotic or controlled substance, possessing/purchasing for sale a narcotic or controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance.
