Where to Cool Off This Week

Post Date:07/03/2024

Beat the heat this week (including July 4th) at our cool and welcoming facilities!

This week, you can beat the heat by visiting our Livermore Public Library branches, LARPD’s Robert Livermore Community Center, Aquatic Center, or May Nissen Swim Center.

Check out our cooling facilities map: https://veoci.com/v/p/283631/map/43tndrdj5q for locations and hours this week.

Additionally, CityServe of the Tri-Valley put together resources from throughout the Tri-Valley for finding a place to cool down.

Where to go on July 4th:
  • Robert Livermore Community Center (4444 East Avenue): 12 PM - 6 PM (A/C, wifi, and water)
  • Robert Livermore Aquatic Center (4488 East Avenue): 12 PM - 5 PM ($7/person)
  • May Nissen Swim Center (685 Rincon Avenue): 12 PM - 5pm ($1/person)
  • Airport Administration Building (680 Terminal Circle): 10 AM - 3 PM - Cool off during our Family-Friendly Fourth of July Celebration at the Livermore Airport from 10 AM - 12 PM with fans, misters, hydration stations and shaded tents located throughout the event.

Heat exhaustion and heat stroke are some of the most serious health risks during the hot summer months, but heat illness can look similar to other illnesses. Be prepared and recognize the warning signs, such as headaches, cramps, and rapid heartbeat, and take action to cool down immediately. For more tips to beat the heat, visit HeatReadyCA.com.
