20th Birthday Party for Civic Center Library

The Livermore Public Library will host a community birthday party to celebrate 20 years in its current location.  The celebration will take place on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the Civic Center Library, 1188 S. Livermore Avenue, Livermore, CA 94550.

The birthday party will include free cupcakes, craft workshops for all ages, dancing demonstrations, science experiments, henna, face painting, and more.  Attendees can also register for the Summer Learning Program and pick up their free book just for signing up. 

The 2024 Summer Learning Program is open to all ages, from babies to adults.  Participants track their reading and activities to earn prizes and raffle tickets.  Starting May 1, anyone may register at Livermore.beanstack.org or on the free Beanstack app.  Time spent reading after June 1, can be logged online or on paper gameboards, available at all Livermore Library locations.  This year’s raffle prizes include a Nintendo Switch, LEGO sets, Le Creuset Cast Iron Cook’s Oven, Hydroflask water bottles, Boba making kits, and more!

The Livermore Public Library Summer Learning Program runs until August 14, 2024. Help us meet our community reading goal of 5 million minutes! All ages are encouraged to join. Participants who read and log their minutes have the opportunity to win prizes. Raffle prizes include Nintendo Switch, Le Creuset Chef’s Oven, LEGO Sets, and more! Children receive a free book just for signing up. Thank you to the Friends of the Livermore Library and our other sponsors.
