Space-Themed STEM Project for Families

A space-themed STEM program ideal for 1st-5th grade students, but all ages are welcome for a multigenerational, family experience.  Participants will learn about the solar system while having fun with interactive projects and experiments. This program is designed as a four-part course, so participants are encouraged to register for all four sessions for the best experience. To register, visit the information desk at any Livermore library or call 925-373-5505.

July 28: Rockets - Create your own rocket and blast it into the air! Add a parachute to bring your astronaut back to earth in one piece.

August 4: Meteors โ€“ Learn about meteors and craters and build a catapult to launch your own meteors!

August 11: Rovers โ€“ To explore planetary surfaces you will need a capable rover; especially if you want to make it through those meteor craters!

August 18: Space Stations โ€“ Finish the challenges at each space station to complete your astronaut training.

The sessions are free and at 7:00 p.m. in the story-time room of the Civic Center Library. All materials will be provided.
