Project Description

The City of Livermore is undertaking a study to identify potential development options and approaches at the Livermore Airport that are responsive to the needs of the Airport and the community. Working in conjunction with C&S Consultants, the City project team will be engaging with Airport users and the public to gather feedback about the ideal mix of uses that will ensure the Airport remains a successful and thriving asset for the community. The land use analysis will help determine available and advisable use for airport land, today and into the future.

Following the outreach and engagement process, the project team will prepare a land use analysis and development study of the current and future land use options around the Livermore Municipal Airport. The result of this work will be an Airport Land Development Framework, which will identify available and advisable types of land use and development for available land, as well as recommended development approaches which will provide guidance on how to proceed with choosing development projects and partners. These deliverables are expected to be completed by June of 2024.

The City regularly engages with potential developers and tenants of airport land and will continue to do so throughout this planning process. However, it is important to complete the Airport Land Development Framework before moving forward with any individual development project in order to maintain a holistic and comprehensive approach to Airport development.

Focus Groups

The project team will be meeting with current and prospective airport users to determine demand for facilities and uses at the airport.

Community Engagement

The project team is seeking input from the community at pop up events, open houses, the project website, and at Airport Commission meetings.
