The City is now offering electronic plan review for all photovoltaic systems.

The Process

• Please create an Accela Citizen Access account.
• Is this SolarApp eligible? Start here 
  • If not, continue to our Online Permitting.
• A current City of Livermore business license is required for licensed contractors prior to submittal of the electronic photovoltaic plan submittal.
• Photovoltaic Solar Systems submittal requirements.
• Plans are to be in a PDF format (see Plans Submittal Requirements).
• After submittal, staff will review for completeness and code compliance. You will receive updates via email.
• Upon payment, you will receive your approved permit and receipt via email. Print the permit, approved plans, job inspection card and Smoke Detector Compliance form to have on site for inspection. The project will not be finaled without a completed Smoke Detector Compliance form (residential only).

Revisions to Approved Photovoltaic Plans

All revisions submittals shall include the following:

• Full set of signed plans (including cut sheets) with revisions clouded.
• Complete and upload a Revision Application to the original permit.
