The City of Livermore adopted amendments to the 2022 CALGreen code that were effective January 1, 2023 (LMC Chapter 15.26 - Green Building Standards Code).

The City's amendments require most new buildings in Livermore to be constructed all-electric and to install more EV chargers than required by the State code. The standards do not apply to remodels or additions to existing buildings.

The City's all-electric and EV charging codes are part of its Climate Action Plan efforts.
