How to Participate in a City Council Meeting
Council Meetings
Effective with the October 9, 2023 City Council meeting, City Council meetings will no longer be in a hybrid format. Members of the public wishing to speak at the meeting will have to do so in person until further notice.
Public Comment Instructions
Prior to the Meeting
- Provide public written comments prior to the meeting by email, to cityclerk@LivermoreCA.gov.
If you are submitting public comment via email, please do so by 12:00 p.m. the day of the meeting. All comments received will be provided to City Council and the public in a supplemental packet the afternoon of the meeting. - Provide an eComment. eComments may be submitted by the public using the eComment link here. Comments may be up to 1000 characters in length and will be accepted up until 4:00 pm the day of the
meeting. These items will NOT be read into the record and are viewable by the City Council
and the public upon submittal.
At the Meeting
- City Council meetings are held in the Civic Center Meeting Hall, City Council Chambers located at 1016 S. Livermore Avenue.
- To provide public comment, all speakers need to submit a speaker card for each item.
- Speaker cards are available in the Civic Center Meeting Hall lobby.
- Indicate on the card the item number you wish to comment on.
- Submit the card directly to the City Clerk prior to the the start of the item.
- Speakers may not submit a card for other speakers.
- Speakers are called in the order cards are received.
- When you are called to speak, please approach the podium.
- Speakers will have 3 minutes to speak. The Mayor may reduce the amount of time based on the number of persons wishing to speak.
