20th Annual Bringing Back the Natives Garden Tour and Green Home Features Showcase!

Virtual Tour — Sat. and Sun. April 6 and 7, 2024, 10:00-2:30.

This event will be kicked off on April 6 with a keynote presentation by the inspirational, best-selling author Doug Tallamy.  

The online tour will feature beautiful native plant gardens that attract birds, bees, and butterflies, talks by gardening experts, and visits to homes with solar panels and backup batteries, heat pumps for heating and cooling the house and heating water, induction ranges, and more.  

 On Sunday, April 7, during the online tour two homeowners will give detailed talks on how they fully electrified their homes. These talks are: 

10:10 - 11:00 “Stefanie Pruegel’s Native Plant Garden and Fully-electrified Home” 

1:50 - 2:30 “Electrifying My House—and Hoping to Make it Easier for You!”

In-Person Tour —Sat. and Sun. May 4 and 5, 2024, 10:00-5:00 

Sixty beautiful bird- and butterfly-friendly gardens will be open at various locations throughout Alameda and Contra Costa counties over the course of the first weekend in May. In addition to the native plant gardens, homes with green home features such as heat pumps, induction stovetops, and solar panels, will be showcased.
