If this is an emergency, please call 911.

Using this system allows you to submit a report immediately and print a copy of the report at no charge. Please confirm the following to find out if online filing is right for you:

  • Is this a property crime or non-criminal incident?
  • Is this a non-emergency?
  • Did this incident occur within the Livermore City limits? Exception: Livermore residents may report identity theft to us regardless of where it occurred.
  • Are the suspects unknown?
  • Is the report for documentation only?

If you answered no to any question and the incident occurred in Livermore, call us at (925) 371-4987. If the incident occurred outside Livermore, please contact the law enforcement agency in that jurisdiction for a report (Exception: Livermore residents and businesses may report Identity Theft to us regardless of where the fraudulent activity may have occurred.)

Traffic collisions cannot be reported on this system. If a collision occurred on a city street in Livermore, call 925-371-4987. If it occurred on the freeway, contact the California Highway Patrol.

If your report will require a callback or further investigation, please do not use online reporting. Call (925) 371-4987. Online reporting is for documentation only with no further follow-up. Crimes reported online will still be included in our statistics, and crime trend information is provided to officers.

If you answered yes to all of the above questions, you may be able to use the online system to file a report. Upon completion of this process you will:

  • See the words "Your report has been submitted" showing that your report is complete.
  • Be given a case number.
  • Receive an e-mailed copy of the report, at no charge, to keep for your records. A copy will remain available at the police department for the time period required by law (a fee is charged for copy requests).

Please Note

  • All cases filed online will be reviewed.
  • If further information is needed to complete your report, you will be contacted by e-mail.
  • Filing a false police report is a crime.
